Pink Gin and Tonic

(It’s not what you think…read on!)

On one of my many shopping trips to my local Spec’s I came across this Spanish Gin & Tonic kit created by Ford’s Gin and Fever Tree Tonic. I was about to make a trip to visit with Lynda so I picked one up so we could try it. Ford’s is one of my favorite Gins, but the real attraction was the fact that the Fever Tree Tonic was PINK. I had seen pink gin which is usually infused with some fruit that gives it it’s pink hue. However, the purpose of the pink tonic is to enhance the flavor of the gin with aromatics added to the tonic, hopefully making a better Gin and Tonic.

The Pink Tonic was infused with cardamon, vanilla, pimento, ginger and angostura bark for a slightly spicy flavor with a hint of bitters. Also included in the kit were some garnishes of dried herbs and spices to enhance the flavor. I am not a huge fan of tonic, but this was a fun set to play with and I did enjoy my cocktail ! Could have been the great company! Lynda and I had a great visit. ~~Kay

Gin and tonic is my go-to gin cocktail. Fever-Tree makes great tonic and this aromatic version was excellent. Thanks, Kay, for bringing it. Fun visit, too! ~~Lynda

Thanks for reading. Have a great week-end!!
