WEST TEXAS RANCH WATER

I posted this on our Facebook page recently and had several requests for the recipe, so here is a great recipe for West Texas Ranch Water. This has become my summer favorite. It is light and will cool you off on a hot Texas summer day even if you are in North , South or East Texas. And if you are not in Texas, well, I’m sorry, hurry up and get here! This is my interpretation of this cocktail. Enjoy! ~~Kay

  • 2 ounces tequila – reposado
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1 – 12 ounce Topo Chico Mineral Water ( It has to be Topo Chico ).

Glass beer mug or high ball glass – at least 16 ounces

Garnish: Lime wedge

Combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and simple syrup in a shaker. Ad ice and shake until cold. strain into a beer mug or high ball glass with fresh ice. Top it off with Topo Chico and stir. Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve with the entire bottle of Topo Chico and continue to top off the cocktail as you drink it down. This is the beauty of the drink…you keep adding the mineral water which dilutes the cocktail and it lasts for a long time. This drink could make you a member of the “moderation movement”!

Thanks for reading. As always, let us know if you try this and enjoy it or if you have a drink you’d like us to research for you.
